How to Enter on the Day
To enter simply fill in a nomination form available on the day from the entry gate and bring it with you to the fashions on the Field judging area no later then 3.00pm. Gates open at 12.00 midday.

A team of Fashion on the Field spotters, who will be wearing identifiable Goondiwindi Picnic Races badges, will also wander amongst race goers looking for potential entrants.

Judging
The 2011 Woods Grain Fashions on the Field will be a nomination process. To enter, simply fill in a nomination form available to the day from the Nominations tent, located in front of the racecourse entry. Nominations will close at 2:30pm just prior to the commencement of judging of all categories. Information of when and where the judging will take place will be given to entrants on the day. A team of Fashions on the Field spotters will also wander amongst race goers looking for potential entrants

Judging Criteria
The judges will be looking for the following when selecting the best from each category:
  • Entrants should express style and originality
  • Outfit should be co-ordinated, including accessories, with attention to detail
  • Outfits should reflect current fashion trends
  • Couples whose outfits compliment each other and reflect style and fashion sense
  • Hats and fascinators that enhance an outfit and show imagination and creativity
  • Attire that is appropriate for the racecourse and season
  • High standards of grooming and deportment
2011 Judge
On hand to judge this years hotly contested Fashions-on-the-Field event is up and coming couture designer Jackie Buck from Jacqueline Buck Courture.
Jackie is an accomplished young couture designer who is really starting to make a mark in the Australian fashion industry. After studying a diploma of fashion at the Moreton institute of TAFE Jackie gained employment in various areas of the fashion industry both in Australia and the UK, and established her own label 'Jacqueline Buck Couture' in 2006.
She has since released a ready to wear collection under the label 'Jacqueline Buck' which was launched in 2010.
Jackie has been acknowledged as Queensland's most innovative designer and has been asked to show her spring/summer collection at Brisbane's 2011 Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival.
